The Sting have just finished playing their seventh game of the regular season. There has been much turmoil in Sting land this season starting with many returning players sitting out the first semester do to poor academics during their first year. Academics is something that we take serious at Seneca ... Yes our coaching staff wants to put 'W' on the board but in the end when the student graduates with a diploma and moves onto the next chapter of his life that is the biggest 'W' we will ever earn as coaches.
We have also had some other up and downs as we moved into the regular season. With many rookies playing pivotal roles coming into the season we knew we would have an up and down start. We started like this last year and posted a 17-3 record to finish the season off. So we know that if the effort is put in and the players buy into the coaches system then we will all be seeing the playoffs and a second straight year of the Sting's OCAA final tournament appearance.
Here is our record as of November 23, 2010:
Nov. 2 vs. Flemming 65-63 Win
Nov. 9 @ Georgian 77-70 Win
Nov. 12 vs. Algonquin 84-49 Loss
Nov. 13 vs. La Cite 51-43 Win
Nov. 16 @ Loyalist 69-50 Win
Nov. 19 @ Centennial 77-69 Loss
Nov. 23 @ Durham Loss
We have a regular season home game this Saturday November 27, 2010 @ 2PM. The game will be played at the Newnham Campus (Finch and Hwy 404)
Hope to see you there.
